- Perform assessment of quality and reliability of new suppliers being on-boarded in Asia.- Monitor quality on first production batch of parts with suppliers and routinely audit future production runs.- Analyze and effectively resolve manufacturing and assembly related problems at the suppliers factory in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis with supplier and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.- Drive corrective actions for Field Failures with a sense of urgency and teamwork.- Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction tasks.- Support supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase supplier capability of consistently meeting Haas requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6-sigma, 5S, and Kaizen events.- Performs random audit of work instructions, process control sheets, and **** procedures. Initiates cause and corrective action and reports the results.Qualifications & Requirements:- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year university.- 5 years' experience in Supplier Quality or equivalent.- Knowledge of various quality system methodologies: 8D, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc. preferred.- Proficient in both Mandarin and English for written and verbal communication.- Effective written and verbal communication skills with suppliersand other co-workers.- Microsoft Office experience required. Knowledge of SAP,CAD Programs and specialized software (Q-Plus, Gage-Trak) a plus.- Able to understand specifications and blueprint reading.- Roughly 40% Travel Required.
