job title: Project Application Engineer
Report to: Head of Application Engineering Hamburg
Location: Shanghai

KEY ACCOUNTABLILTES

-Ensure an efficient operation according to functional and quality frame work.
-Support Teamwork and optimization of procedures and processes
-Manage and provide technical support from Pre-Sales to Post-sales collaboratively with BD and Service departments to achieve customers satisfaction:
oAccountable for the P&L of assigned IBS projects
oProvide effective Pre-Sales Technical Support to internal customers and other stakeholders to win contracts.
oProvide effective after sales technical and Project support to internal and external customers to achieve customer satisfaction and Project Profit & Loss.
o Ensure scope of supply is compliant to IMO, Class, Flag, Customer requirements, NGSM standards and other regulatory requirements covering the NGSM product portfolio
o Provide accurate drawings on timely manners
o Handle the application process for Ship’s Certification in cooperating with relevant stakeholders like class and flag authorities

-Input on establishing IBS Project Management process and manage project execution as well as Profit and Loss to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and in quality.

-Participate in improvement and optimization of global team process to ensure technical updates are aligned with product development and changes, and needs of customers

-Respond to customers queries on timely basis collaboratively with other stakeholders whenever needed

-Participate in taskforces concerning Sperry Marine Key products and system configurations

TECHNICAL/JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS

Required:
Good project management knowledge and skills
Technical understanding and in-depth knowledge of marine navigation equipment e.g. radar, gyro, ECDIS, GMDSS, radio, as required for proper technical application of the products
Familiar with IMO Requirements, Class Rules, Flag Rules and other regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills as required for an international environment
Good team spirit and willing to support team members whenever needed
Ability to work in an international teams and (matrix) organisation
Self-Motivated and Strives for continuous improvement
Self-Initiative and Independent
Able to travel from time to time

Acquirable:
Knowledge of ERP System (IFS, etc.)
Advance MS SharePoint knowledge and use of database, etc.
Advanced computer network skills
